The so called name \'public servant\' means nothing to these people. They have never learned to do what the people tell them to do. Politicians today should be tarred and feathered and run out of town. I am sick and tired of them telling me what I need. What I have seen so far with Federal, State and Local governments that are totally corrupt and the IDIOT people that worry more about the score of the latest Spurs game. Most people don\'t worry about much of anything so the government just keeps turning out laws regulations and statutes by the hundreds that harass \'we the people\'. Did you know there are over 66,000,000 laws , regulations, and statutes now? How many more do we need!? Instead of getting the job done NOTHING HAPPENS.

Our traffic just gets worse. I hear the local government saying \"it makes progress for people to move here\". Baloney!! Look what it gets us, crowded jails, more on welfare and highway congestion. GREAT PROGRESS, HUH? Come on, this is BALONEY (I have a better word for this) and you know it. WHEN ARE WE THE PEOPLE GOING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT ALL OF THIS. WE NEED A CLEAN OUT JOB FOR AUSTIN, FOR WASHINGTON, AND YES, SAN ANTONIO. We need more people in government like Lyle Larson and Tommy Akisson, a LOT more of them. Are there any? We have to act fast before Bush gives our country to the ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT.
I lived in New Jersey for the first 40 years of my life and I know the Garden State parkway is Americas largest PARKING LOT. TOLLS ARE NOT THE ANSWER FOR US, THEY JUST PROFIT THE OWNERS.
There is no leadership here in the city of San Antonio. We should had rapid transit years ago but what do I hear at the MPO meeting? A little girl (greatly qualified to clean toilets) tells us that light rail is \"much too expensive.\" I am a railroad man and have been for 54 years and worked as a locomotive engineer and a manager that ran commuters in and out of New York city 50,000 in and 50,000 out - that was in the 70\'s, 5 days a week. It worked for New Jersey and since then cities all over the world HAVE LIGHT AND HEAVY RAIL THAT IS VERY SUCCESSFUL. But the little girl at the MPO says it will cost too much. See why I am fed up with polititions and little girls every where that think they have something to say?

Unfortunately, TXDOT is determined to "condition" people into accepting any solution by:

1) purposely fooling with the synchronization of the lights on Hwy 281
2) erecting more stop lights along 281
3) ignoring the congestion problem at 281 until the general public gets "desperate" for any solution

It will be a travesty when the people find out (a little to late) that toll roads aren't going to be a long-term or viable solution to their congestion problems. Sprinkle in a little "market-valuation" with toll-roads and you're going to have quite a few frustrated drivers along Hwy 281 in years to come.
