<description>Full funding of all TxDOT identified projects (25 year TMMP target of a 1.18 TCI) is possible with an $0.08 (indexed to inflation) gas tax increase. The TTI study, at 20 mpg and 20,000 miles per year, generates $80 per year. My personal toll bill, for one trip to town a day, for one stretch of tollway only, would be $1,095 at $1.50 a pass. My wife&#039;s bill (teaches blind children) would be $2,190 per year. In my family, tolling gernerates 720% to 1440% more funds than are needed.

Sincerely,

<description>Gas Tax Error - ya&#039;ll are too conservative.

The gas tax has not increased since 1987 when it went to $0.15 per gallon. The 1991 increase of $0.05 went 100% to the education fund.

Inflation has increased 87% since the gas tax was last increased.

Sincerely,
