The TTI study, at 20 mpg and 20,000 miles per year, generates $80 per year. My personal toll bill, for one trip to town a day, for one stretch of tollway only, would be $1,095 at $1.50 a pass. My wife's bill (teaches blind children) would be $2,190 per year. In my family, tolling gernerates 720% to 1440% more funds than are needed.
